Deep thought.

I think D's not-yet-there teeth were annoying him today. He sat chewing on this teether for ages, occasionally stopping, looking at it and starting again. It kept him quiet for awhile.

Watching D develop and finesse new skills is fascinating. Not that long ago he couldn't really reach for things - you could tell if he wanted something because he'd wave his arms and legs and his fingers would twitch. If it was held close to him he'd take it. Now he actually stretches out his hand towards things - he made me laugh yesterday by reaching for the morsel of chocolate cake I was holding... he didn't get it!
