Take A Seat
Today I have been working on photos.......lots of photos.
All I seem to have done recently is take and work on photos.
I went out with my son and a friend to take more photos of her this afternoon at the old Bangour Village Hospital.
As we entered the grounds we were stopped and told that pictures were not allowed to be taken.........I wasn't going to argue with the guys.
I wasn't going to comply - but I wasn't going to argue (no point in getting off on the wrong foot).
As we walked though the grounds I saw that the police were doing their public order training............helmets, shields, all the usual. That probably explained the security guards truculance.
However, we did notice that we were being stalked by the guards in their van. They kept driving round and stopping in vantage points so they could keep an eye on us. They eventually got bored and we sneaked off a few shots but it took the shine off the afternoon.................and it was a nice afternoon to take pictures (out of the breeze).
This evening I was out shooting the local Youth Theatre Group at their technical run through. Instead of 4 of us there were only 2 and we had been told the clubs insurance did not cover us for taking the studio lights (how they suddenly found that out and stuck to it I have no idea - well, I do - I suspect it was to make my life hard after falling out with the committee members who failed to turn up, but that may just be me being a cynic). Lucky that the 2 of us who were there had good flash guns that we could set up remotely and use instead of studio flash.
I have also finished working on the shots and will be able to pass on mine so that they can have pictures up front of house when the production opens on Thursday...............job done.
