Dogwood

Firstly, thank you everyone for your lovely comments yesterday (and stars and happy blip-days). They all made my blip-day very, very special.

Secondly, today I have decided on a very simple image. A dogwood leaf viewed from below. I like the frail strength within the leaf structure, the peacefully variegated colour and the soft blue sky. For me it also symbolises strength over adversity. And the glorious little black spot that shows individuality and mortality.

Thirdly, for anyone touched by the riots, my thoughts are with you. It is all so senseless.
