Surprise!

Oooh! I gasp every time I first notice these lovely flowers, for their arrival is unexpected and stealthy. Hence, surprise lilies. They're also referred to as "pop-up lilies" because they do seem to just shoot up from the ground when your back is turned. I clipped a few of these sweet-smelling beauties and put them in a vase to take to my MawMaw this evening. To surprise her with flowers.
