The View

More rain today - although we had a brief adventure on our bikes round the grounds of the place we are staying. We bought a child seat so that Miss42 could join us on bike rides. Not sure I'll be doing any cross country or downhill with her on board!

This afternoon (after a whole family nap) I escaped for a 15 mile bike ride up to Loch an Eileen and then across to Loch Morlich, one of my favourite rides with enough variety and difficult enough without it being too taxing.

This pic is the view that someone would have enjoyed from their croft that is on the route. Well, you can still enjoy the view but there isn't a roof or many walls left to help you enjoy it!

The river (Spey) next to the chalet is much fuller today after all the rain yesterday. No danger of floating away yet, but I hear on the news that there has been flooding in Aberdeenshire. Its August!

Planning this evening for a night away tomorrow much further north - a surprise from Mrs42. More on that tomorrow...
