Dial a Sun

Didn't spot this until it was pointed out to me, as I was concentrating so much on taking a picture of the church in Chipping Sodbury, you've seen the church in this blip previously. It's a sun dial on the wall of the church, something a little bit quirky and strange to see on the side of a church. The actual words on top of the dial say "So passeth away the Glory of ?", but I can't make out what the last word is. I wonder why the sun dial was put on the church? The church looks a very, very old building and I'm sure there is a lot of history and some interesting stories, I'll try and do some research on it and report back on the sun dial if I find anything out. I'll try and do a blip on the church at some time in the future because it looks a fascinating building.

A busy day and there is a lot of work which has to be done over the next month, so no peace for the wicked! Plans for tomorrow changed as I made my home tonight, so I might work from home tomorrow as I'm going to be working late tonight getting all the training on for next year.
