The end of a great weekend away

This morning we packed up and left for home. We spent the past few days in Pacific City vacationing as a family where it just happened to turn out my sister and her family were vacationing there at the same time. We spent our days on the beach soaking up the sun, watching the tide and laughing a lot. Our evenings were spent with good food, campfires and great company.

Before leaving, Jack and I (our oldest son) went on a long beach walked and climbed the notorious dune (the dune from HELL). It was worth the hike as we had a great time together and had an amazing view once there. In then end for some reason this picture of the the grass at the top of the dune won for my blip of the day. Not sure why but I was drawn to it.

Today marked the end of another great summer weekend getaway. Can't wait for the next one.
