Sunday Day Trip

Scotrail has a special Sunday Service to Oban, direct from Waverley during summer.

4 hours goes past surprisingly fast when you're looking out the window, watching the scenery continually changing.

In Oban, like Edinburgh, it was raining cats and dogs, so it was quick trip to the CalMac terminal (20p to pee!), town map picked up from Tourist Information, a brisk stroll along the Prom, Prom, Prom, and then lunch. Delicious food and wine at Ee-usk (gorgeous fresh langoustine, but 'city' prices!)

This was followed by a valiant effort at attempting to take photos all over town with a brolly in one hand and the camera in the other, before catching the train home - damp and cold!

Where is summer?!

I think I'll need to go put the heating on...!
