Up and Over

I've had one of the best days ever - Ali Reader (the kitesurfer in this photo) jumped the gravel spit that juts out at low-tide three times today. It was a total shock to me, unplanned and heaven knows what he was thinking......I am in ore of his skill, madness and challenge for life. Not long after these shots, he broke part of his harness and nearly lost the kite altogether !!!

As you will see my my journal, I am a regular visitor to the beach, and have waited for 2 years to see this - so chuffed I was able to capture this and particularly as the jump came right over my head - needless to say my camera is having a good clean tonight.

Ali is a awesome kitesurfer, cool guy and just a bit good at this sport.....bring it on - can't wait for next weekend !
