Birthday Party

Although my real birthday was on Wednesday, we had my party today. I have been very much looking forward to having a birthday party. We put a big Mickey Mouse poster on the door so that everyone would know where it was! I got lots more presents - play dough, clothes, books, colouring things, puzzles and bath toys. My Mummy got glitter pens and lots of stickers, and we all made our own party hats. We played with Elefun, the play dough and had a game of pass the parcel. Auntie Katie made the parcel - she put a bar of chocolate in every layer. I won the prize, which was some plasticine, but I was disappointed because I was expecting a chocolate bar (I got one anyway)! We had hoped to play outside, but it was too wet. We still had lots of fun though.

Here's a video of Mum bringing out my birthday cake and another one of pass the parcel.

She really wanted to have a party, with balloons and hats and cakes, and she said that she enjoyed it, but it didn't really look like it at the time. There were tears, she was very clingy to me and her dad, and she didn't really play with the other children at all. She was also very possessive over her belongings. Only to be expected, I suppose, when she doesn't have to share on a regular basis. I expect nursery will soon change that!
