Echinacea 2

A great evening last night at Glebe house. 8 of us celebrated Annabel's birthday with the most delicious food. I had garden salad followed by tarte tatin tomate and even had room for hazelnut meringue with fresh strawberries. We had a wander round the garden first - it is just superb - a wonderful fertile veg garden, a beautiful pottager and an abundant polytunnel. There is an turf amphitheatre where they sometimes have open air concerts too.

Heavy rain in the night and on and off today. A day of domesticity - a serious clean of the sitting room, followed by pulling out all the peas and broadbeans from the polytunnel and a spot of digging ready for the next sowing/planting.

From this to this! The echinacea are slowly opening. And it's not finished yet!
