Food, glorious food

Today feels like it has been all about the food. This photo is from this morning, when the Husband whipped out and got the doings for a cooked breakfast. He's pretty handy in the kitchen.

We had friends over for lunch, so no sooner had we cleared breakfast dishes, than I had made a load more. A lazy afternoon sharing tales and laughs, just what the doctor ordered.

Tonight, the Husband cooked dinner, the Family Spaghetti, a traditional whanau recipe passed from generation to generation. Delish! The girls decided that they would eat at the little table that was in the room from lunch, so I made the big table a little bit grown up and romantic. The girls decided that theirs needed to match. It was very sweet.

I'm full up now. I'd say that the overall phrase that suits the day would be "Yum Scrum Pig's Bum" as my dear old Ma taught me.
