Scaredy cat?

There is this lovely old foot tunnel on the Falkland estate.

The footpath under a track bends through at an angle, so you can't see both ends at the same time - and there is a section in the middle that is pitch black.

I know it is quite short - I've been through it lots of times.

But every time, as I get further and further into the darkness without seeing any light, I get a moment of doubt.

And my footsteps falter. I know that its just a couple more steps before I see the first hint of the light at the end of the tunnel.

But every time I have that moment of doubt...
