Made another birdfeeder today, this time from a 5-litre plastic water bottle. It was packed within minutes of hanging it outside.

A bit later I took some fruit out for them and they flew into the trees, but one... and this is he! A little red-headed finch. Very young bird still, and not bothered by my presence at all. I was softly talking to him (do I see some eye-rolls here?) as I walk closer and closer where he was sitting in the birdfeeder. I picked him up, with no resistance from him! I always have my little Nikon Coolpix in my pocket, slowly took it out and blipped 49 (to be exact!) blips of him. I returned him to the birdfeeder and he carried on eating like he was never disturbed!

A few moments later his parents arrived and he flew away with them. It was a great experience!
