on the way to High Street
...high street is not your average woolworths and wh smiths. High Street is a fell in the Lake District and at 828 metres (2718 ft), its summit is the highest point in the far eastern part of the national park.
i have to confess this is the first time i've missed the midnight cut off for a blip... but by the time we got back from a super 9 mile afternoon/evening fell walk; showered; made dinner and entertained friends who've arrived at the holiday cottage, time had flown by.
consequently, this is a wildly rushed blip. and a bit of a pity as we had a super sunny day and walked a spectacular route i'd wholly recommend. lots of time spent high on ridges with wonderful views across the Lakes. and not to mention a beautiful tarn where M&M braved the cold and went for a swim. all in all, a good way to burn of an awesome dinner at The Queen's Head in Troutbeck last night.
super tired and our last evening of what has been a wonderful week in the holiday cottage here.
happy weekend everyone. x
