Careful With Your Camera

From this angle, this could be anywhere in the world, but this happens to be in the French Concession of Shanghai. Not far from this spot, I was taking pictures of the tree lined streets and didn't realize a Chinese government installation was in right in line with my shots. I suddenly noticed in my view finder, a sirened vehicle coming in my direction. Three hours of lecturing, paperwork and apology later, I was set free by the nice fellows down at the local police station. Although I had to delete the pictures, everyone was clear it was all a big mix up. Phew!
