Fairies

It is quite interesting to observe just how people at the festival 
draw attention to themselves. A lot of them do it just by standing 
on something. Some do it by wandering about with hardly any 
clothes on. And still others dress as fairies and chain themselves 
together.

I was forced to draw attention to myself today as it was my 
work team building day. These fill me with terror and almost
prevented me from applying for the job last year. Luckily 
they just did a barbeque this time instead of playing 
role-playing games or whatever. It was still horrifying
though as the way my group is set up, three of us are in a 
totally different location to everybody else and the other 
two are on holiday. Meaning that I didn't know a single 
person (apart from one who arrived later) and I am extremely
shy so it was deeply unpleasant for me. I just barged up to a 
group of people and told them I didn't know anyone and they
were nice to me which was good. From previous forays they 
seem to be very friendly people thank goodness, otherwise I'd
just have left. I'm still pretty stressed about it though. Next 
year I might just try dressing as a fairy and letting people 
come up to me. Or run away.
