Space

Actually no title came easily to mind - the camera is looking up into a ceiling slot and layers of stairs that go up 6 floors at the new Gates Foundation building in Seattle. A great gal gave me and 4 friends a tour of the building and the really amazing art collection. Beauty is certainly an integral part of this campus.

The emphasis of the Foundation is not art, art is simply there to accent the space. In fact there is not a curator for the building really. The friend who gave us the tour is in charge of the soon to be open Visitor's Center, which will educate people on the mission of the Foundation, addressing world humanitarian needs, and also try to help folks figure out what they can do. That is no small challenge!
