Summer Learning

We went to Amherst College this afternoon; this shows part of the center of the campus. Our specific destination was the Mead Art Museum on the campus. It was our first visit, and we were very impressed.

The college is in the town of Amherst; it's one of the quintet of institutions of higher education that give this part of the Pioneer Valley the designation of the "five-college area." It's a great place to live.

The other four are the University of Massachusetts and Hampshire College (both also in Amherst), Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, and Smith College in our town of Northampton.
