Swinging little guitar man

You may remember that we were very proud of Alfie and his commitment to his guitar which I mention here.

When he said he wanted to learn he asked us to buy him an electric guitar, tempting though it was to rush out and buy him one (trying to realise my broken rock star dreams) we did not, instead we bought him a cheapo £30 charity shop job and said that if he worked hard we would get him something better.

How he has worked... He's also become a big fan of Jimmy Page (led Zep )who plays (amongst other things) a 1958 Gibson Les Paul 1958, in sunburst.. This is Alfies dream guitar... As luck would have it, Gibson have a slightly more cost effective line called 'Epiphone' which are still very good. So he decided he would save up, combine birthdays etc and at some point get one..

I've been watching and bidding on lots of them on ebay, until I found the right one at a very, very reasonable price, not new, not perfect, but brilliant all the same. We gave it to him last night, the look on joy on his face is one of the best things I have ever seen ;)
