Carcharodon carcharias
spotted this little beauty off the coast of tynemouth this morning, it got a bit agitated and i might need a new cage now!
not really of course! this was part of the display at the hancock museum in newcastle, with a huge natural history exhibit.
funny thing was this model was about 4m long, a reasonable size for a great white, and i found it a bit small looking!! I spent a lot of time shark diving a few years back whilst living in warmer climbs, and i guess the magnification properties of my mask made me think sharks were larger than they are! although i never met a great white, i have met some big ones, large enough to get the blood pumping!
