What Harvest !

Sorry I failed to blip yesterday, we had rounded up the last of the 'fit' barley and after much toing and froing, opted to start cutting some wheat. Before we had finished making the changes for the change of crop up popped the standard summer thunder shower! another early finish. It being Mrs AS's day off I went up to the yard with her to check on Miller, while we're here can you walk the field for ragwort while I (Mrs AS) do a bit of poo picking went the conversation. No sooner had we reached the bottom of the field than down comes another thunder shower. We arrived back in the barn like to cntestants in a wet Tshirt comp, with me coming a poor second! Mrs AS is refusing to allow publication of the winner hence no blip!!!! Today was passed doing maintenance, a vet visit for the new batch of pigs and testing corn every 2 hrs in the vain hope the moisture would drop! having shot up from 14% prerain to 18% postrain, it had come down to 16% at about 3.30 when I received a call from Mrs AS (working 13miles away in york) that a big storm was comming our way complete with hail stones! It duely arrived got stuck against the wolds and has been with us now for over 2hrs. Think we wont cut much tomorrow or even before the weekend! Try and keep dry one and all.
