Burmarsh

Apparently the oldest settlement on Romney Marsh. The early Norman church dates back to the 12th century. Apparently it has just had the ropes for its 6 bells replaced at a cost of £1000! Good business for someone.

The church is called All Saints, which I guess is the ecclesiastical equivalent of hedging your bets.

Next door is the Shepherd and Crook, which in my youth had a well founded reputation for serving spotty 17 year olds fine beer, apparently!

In other excting news... dropped bruvver and the senoritas at the airport. On the journey up we relectantly conceeded that Viv Richards would not make the all time Test 11, bu would be in the 20-20.

Off tonight sur la manche.
