Morris persons

We went down to the Esplanade to see the massed morris tribes in their element. It was particularly good to see Jackstraws again after a gap of about 25 years. I recalled them as being tidy and precise dancers whilst managing to be spring-y and light on their feet, very much in the Bampton style. And so they still are - impressively, with some of the same personnel!

Then I had to do some singing in the afternoon and met up with lots more old chums plus a new chum Issy who is one of the most impossibly cute babies I have met for some considerable time. We ate fish and chips together and then D and I ended up in a pub session in the Volunteer which went on a for quite a while. All good.
