A Crap Job

Sorry for the title, but couldn't resist it.

The septic tank backed up all the way to the house, and I will not go into the gory details, you will all be relieved to hear. As you can imagine - not the sort of job to do on the hottest day of the summer, but the 3 guys from our local contractor did a sterling job.

The bill was a bit of a fright, but it was not as if I had a choice. I think the worst thing about jobs like these - roof, sewage, plumbing - you pour money into them, and you don't actually see the results. Not like getting a new kitchen, or something.

Oh, the joys of owning an old house.

Isn't it amazing how often the word "job" comes up when you talk about this disgusting subject?
