Abbey play

We went to Hexham today to catch up with some fellow blippers. Had a lovely cuppa and cake at the brilliantly-monikered 'Mrs Miggins' tea shop and then took the kids for a play in the park. Finished off with a quick visit to Hexham Abbey. I was really impressed to see they have a kids' corner in there. Our little ones were kept occupied for a wee while and even Grace managed to stay quiet and observe the solemnity of the magnificent building. This photo shows her looking up to our friends' little girl, who is a wonderful companion for Grace when we meet up.

Thinking right now of Grandmama and Daily Post and sending all our Love, prayers and hugs their way. I read the sad news too late to light a candle in the Abbey today, but as far as I am concerned, each and every one is glowing brightly for dear Grandpapa. xxxxx
