Daniel Lanois and Brian Blade

The last time I saw Daniel Lanois live was in about 1989 or 1990 when he played at the Glasgow Barrowlands. He'd only released one album back then and had already helped make U2 famous by producing The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree with Brian Eno.

His latest project is Black Dub, started when he produced a song for Trixie Whitley at the Boston School of Music in 2009.

It was a hard choice to pick a picture as most were too blurred or obscured by heads or arms; I was not at the front of the crowd.

We hung about afterwards and the band mingled, chatted, signed autographs and posed with fans for pictures. Meeting Dan after the show made a great night perfect (well nearly perfect, but that's another story).
You can see other photos from that night here and here.
