Kielder Water

Ros had to meet a colleague in Northumberland today, so I went on to Kielder Water and met Joan T for a blipmeet and a blether!

Kielder Water is the largest artificial lake in the UK. It is surrounded by Kielder Forest. It is also the site of England's largest hydro electric plant. It was opened in 1982. Once the dam was built it took two years for the lake to fill up!
