Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones

EdiSteve and I took a detour on our way home today and popped into the National Museum of Scotland.

This is the first complete skeleton of a giant deer ever to be discovered. It was found on the Isle of Man in 1819 and brought to Edinburgh by the Duke of Atholl.

In 1821 the skeleton was given to the University of Edinburgh and is now part of the National Museum collection.
