Heavens Opening

A couple of days ago, Barcelona suffered its most intense downpour since records began, 102 litres per sq metre/m in only 5 minutes and gusts of wind over 100 kmph. Episodes similar to this will only happen every 67 years!

The most frightening thing was that at 5 pm the skies went completely dark - the three of us lunching, spontaneously exclaimed 'the end of the world', 'the deluge' and 'Independence Day', the last from the youngest in the company.

And today as I looked up at the building in which I started my previous corporate career, I got a sense of the same...definitely a bit spooky!
