Bare essentials

The boys and their pals went off for a couple of nights camping on their own. One of the great things about this part of the world is that if you are happy to live without the luxuries of a loo and wi-fi you can get an island to yourself.

Their plans of living off the land - catching fish and cooking it over an open fire - were scuppered as the fish weren't biting. However they got the fire going after some serious beach combing (and a quick dash home for some kindling) and had luke warm tins of Heinz tomato soup and toast instead. Not to mention the large supply of crisps, doughnuts, marshmallows, jelly babies and limeade they took with them.

Ah, the healthy outdoor lifestyle they lead. Ray Mears would be proud of them...
