Voss

So where does 60 Degrees North go on holiday each year ? well still at 60 Degrees North, in fact slightly further North but a few miles further East. Over in Norway as we have been every year since 1998. Have to fly these days as there is no boat to Bergen from anywhere in the UK now let alone Lerwick. Sumburgh to Bergen in 50 minutes same as it takes to Aberdeen.

Stage 1 of the trip is in Voss some 60 miles east of Bergen. Been here many times and it is a beautiful part of the world. For those who know it, it reminds me of my favourite part of Scottish Mainland at Loch Morlich. Big lake surrounded by hills with plenty of walking opportunities and a big skiing area in the winter.
