Tiger stripes

I met this tired Jersey tiger moth in the back garden. Whisky cat watched me take a photo, then decided that because I was interested in the insect, it must be fantastic to stalk it. So I rescued the poor moth and placed him on the plum tree. Perhaps he is one of these caterpillars that I spied earlier in the year. He's grown up to be quite a handsome fellow.

It was scorchio today. Fred and I cycled to Dulwich Park and played a game of table tennis in the sun. Fred won, even though he was playing left-handed (he is right-handed and this was his way of giving me an advantage). I have a lot to learn! Two small boys stood by our table until we finished the set. They acted as ball boys and kept the score (wrongly) for us because they were über-keen that we stop playing so the table would be theirs. It worked. I cite harassment as the reason I lost that last game.
