The Kids Are Alright

1. I stayed up late watching The Kids Are Alright, which was ace and even later reading The Sound and theFury, which isn't ace yet, but has potential. So this morning is slow to start but the paper, strong coffee and a big bap and jam nudges it on its way.

2. To the Vintage Fayre at the Shed. I bump into the lovely and always cheery Sally who has a stall. It was heaving and for some reason they've put proper bouncers on. It's pretty funny watching them herd the buggies. I wonder if it kicked off after I left.

3. For a walk round the shops in Shawlands. Sad to see the demise of Hayes but happy to see Nuala Ashe has risen from the ashes. I celebrate with them by buying this rather fancy lampshade. On to Oxfam to stock up and then to Mica, the hardware mecca. I love it here and even let them patronise me - I don't have a leg to stand on, I haven't a clue about amps.

4. Elsewhere I see three folk in striking t-shirts. One on a girl says 'do you like what you see' another on a guy that said 'the best looking guy on the planet' and another that says 'there's no such thing as luck'.

5. Running later than normal, I don't go as far but do go a lot faster. I'm sure it'll mean hee-haw in the training scheme of things but in the starting to make me feel better scheme of things it makes a dunt. Home for makey up pilates, makey up spa treatments and a nice, proper meal. Now I just have to decide whether or not to watch Juno for the millionth time. Seems right for a Sunday night.
