Sleepy duck

I think this is a young female Mallard duck. She's fast asleep in the lovely sun we've had today - let's hope the weather stays like this for a few weeks eh?

I think we'll be off on our holidays tomorrow at some point - we're very lucky I suppose in just being able to pack and go. We'll only be taking the younger 3/5 of our children which makes it a little lighter in the car. Paris roads at rush hour are always such fun, (?!) so I expect we'll hit it again, but from there it's down through Limoges and to Sarlat. Then off to Revel for a time, then we'll move up to Bordeaux for while for various family parties and to see friends in the Charente. Shame we'll have to get back for exam results, so we won't have our usual very long stay this year.

If I don't get to comment again for a while, have a good few weeks and I'll catch up with you when we're back.
