"Bloody good!"

After a great morning I had a super time at cricket today. The sun was shining and the cake was nice. On top of that I had my best innings yet. Tom (above) and I had a 60+ run partnership to steer us to victory. It is the biggest affect I have had on the outcome of a game so far. I was reasonably comfortable throughout and finished on 27 not out (including a very enjoyable off drive for 4).

The reaction of my team mates was great, they were all impressed, and their praise felt great, in particular from our opening batsman Dave. Dave is not the type to give praise lightly, and is a proper old school cricketer, so when he smiled broadly, shook my hand and said "Bloody good!", I was super chuffed :-D

A day to remember!

On a photographic note, I am enjoying taking some action shots at the cricket but the quality of the final image is lacking. Not sure if it the lens, or that I need a monopod. Any suggestions to improve these long range action shots gratefully received!
