Petanque

It's not just the French that enjoy a game of Petanque. It's quite popular around this area of England, too. On a beautiful, sunny afternoon and I joined friends in a lovely village to play - and there were a few more expert players on hand from the local club to show us how it should be done. Add to that a tasty meal in the little clubhouse and you have a pretty good way to spend a summer's afternoon and evening.

For the record: 20C but it seemed hotter, blue skies, summer is back...
