Small Things

Some small (and not so small) things were getting me down today, so I was glad to find a small thing to cheer me up. There is a genuine garden growing on the Rose Kennedy Greenway (right in the middle of downtown Boston)! To rejuvenate the soil, they've planted clover, alfalfa and a large variety of sunflowers, and there are peas and beans growing on the trellises, tomatoes (not all that healthy looking, I must admit) and fragrant herbs such as basil (doing very well). The best of the sunflowers are still to come - in a couple of weeks we'll have a mini Provence in the city centre.
