A new day dawns....

By Nicdawncav

Last day in London.

Darn it, I enjoyed myself in London too much today and now I don't want to leave again. I was doing so well this week at not loving London too much that I was quite happy to go back, then a day south of the river went and spoiled it! After a lovely breakfast in a trendy part of Bermondsey, complete with a farmer's market and street theatre my cousin, myself and his kids took a bus to the south bank. We got off right in front of the London Eye. The view was breathtaking. We wandered past an installation of unusual table tennis tables, watched kids and adults alike getting soaked in the jumping fountains, and enjoyed live reggae music in front if the brightly coloured beach huts. The place was packed due to the vintage festival going on and many a lady and gentleman were walking arm in arm dressed up to the nines in full vintage gear. It was a feast to the eyes and reminded me of what I truly love about this amazing city. As I crossed the bridge over to embankment tube station I had to stop myself from shedding a tear as I knew it was my last glimpse of the place for a while. Goodbye London until we meet again!
