New Material
While we were down in the East Neuk of Fife, I found a wonderful upholstery shop and bought some remnants and off cuts of material. They are beautiful - fiendishly expensive but not for odd little pieces, thank goodness!
Yesterday I got out my sewing machine and made a couple of cushions with some of it. It's a relatively new machine, and I am still a little afraid of it. My old machine was from the ark, and only did one stitch. This one can do 20 + stitches and is actually a joy to use. By the time I'd changed its foot and done a couple of buttonholes, I was feeling much more confident.
Working in the craft shop this afternoon. The credit/debit card machine has stopped working and we have had to go back to swiping cards on a voucher machine - remember those? Because we are not on the mainland, it will be the middle of next week before we get another one! Not a lot of comfort when we had three coach loads of tourists in today! Still, it didn't stop them spending, and we had a bumper day!
By the way - thanks for all your very kind comments and congratulations on my 730th blip the other day! I enjoyed my balloon!
