A Fine Affair

So, Plan A which included a '500' number hiccupped at the last moment leaving Plan B (and in the end an unplanned shot from the Plan B location) to take central stage.

Last night, I fell to imagining what it would be like to gather around a dinner table, in no particular order, chaiselongue (with Lo Jardiniere, of course), LadyFindhorn (with His Lordship, at his entire discretion), q8rdave, KendallisHere, fotodiaro, SusaniOslo, jamjaragain, gillipaw, gilliebg, alfthomas, arclight, rjhaas, harryj, and, whiskeyglass, pseudoficial, SooB, meles (with daveH), zahrashah, loney girl in negros, gblrps, flashead, ChrisP and, of course, Digitaldaze....I'm going to have to stop there because the dinner table isn't that big, and there's a limit to what I can ask of Chaiselongue and q8rdave on the food preparation front.

Here's the menu, in any case:

Starter:
Tuna, Salmon and Shrimp (stocks permitting)
Prepared by q8rdave with assistance from Sidd and Mirl (fresh from their course on altruism)

Main course: Mussels in their own juice and mixed paella prepared on a wood fire, with rosé wine to wash it all down.
Prepared by chaiselongue with assistance from Lo Jardiniere, recently free from his aubergine duties

To conclude: Turkish coffee and Tunnocks Teacakes!

And you know what, it would be an absolutely fantastic evening! Out of this world, but encompassing the best of this world, brought by all our guests.

And you know what else....and this is the really incredible thing...only 500 hundred days ago that thought could never have crossed my mind and this paragraph could never have been written because, apart from DD and SusaniOslo, I didn't know any of you existed!

How much richer my life is now!
