Women Unite, Take Back The Night!!

Today was the Take Back The Night Rally and march. Just as powerful as I remember it being last year. Despite my usual being silent and not using profanity, I gave in and cheered with the other women parading through the streets and to say that it was empowering is an understatement. It was an awesome indescribable feeling. I particularly enjoyed being able to shout things such as "Hey mister, get your hands off my sister!!", "1,2,3,4 I am not your fucking whore, 5,6,7,8, why don't you go masturbate!!" and we're women, we're great, we're fabulous, don't fuck with us!!", etc...etc..while walking through the streets with police escorts and the boys showing their support on the sidelines. When else can you do that and not have some consequence? The answer is pretty much never. The picture is from the rally before the march, the ones during the march were hard to take considering I was marching, which meant moving and not being able to get a good shot of the crowd since I was part of it.
