Happy 50th to me

My 50th blip. I'd like to thank everyone who has made this occasion possibly. In the main that would be me then.

This also means that I've been on my career break for just under 9 weeks, which I have to say puts a large grin on my face and provides a faint waft of smugness. Ok those should be the other way around.

Left my camera battery in UK, so pretty happy with the last four blips in Budapest from my camera phone. My steadfast determination to blip, especially when travelling, defies my clumsy memory shortfalls.

It's a lot of fun. Having to decide what to blip and which of the contenders makes the final cut becomes easily addictive and allows me to imagine I run the news/picture desk of a broadsheet. I love the cut and thrust of the editiorial meetings I have with my colleagues. I mean myself.

Flew into Stuttgart tonight, 20 mins early. Gotta love German efficiency.
