Festival time is upon us

Congratulations to my colleague and blipmate Clix who won the Edinburgh Festival blip entry for last week and was awarded two tickets to attend Matthew Ford and his Swing Jazz band at Spiegeltent (Edinburgh)

He invited me since his little girls needed their mother (and I am such good company :)) ) Actually, he is a rather kind and decent gent.

It was a fine evening during which I pointed my camera at various things between sipping Pinot and applauding the performers. Since Clix reached home and blipped earlier than I did, I decided to enter this picture instead, or my entry would have been very similar to his. Despite Clix reaching home and blipping a very similar shot, I like the colours so much that I am willing to arm wrestle him to the ground (I am somewhat larger than him ;)) ) (see large)

Seen here is the Festival Theatre to the left, Edinburgh University tower in the middle and the Royal College of Surgeons to the right, shot on my way back. I now take you inside Spiegeltent.

Importantly it is a handheld shot as I was not carrying all my gear with me. So... All shots from this evening are handheld ...still learning how to use the new camera properly.
