Into the future

All aboard the Eurotunnel bound for France.

The boys were very impressed but it's actually quite hard to tell you are on a train.

The colour is a bit 2001 I think.

400 miles covered today- Bristol to Reims and onwards tomorrow.

The roads were splendidly quiet.

France is great.

Some definite field/big sky opportunities missed today.

We set out at 8.30 from Bristol and drove the 163 miles or so to the Eurotunnel departure point (after dropping the books at the library first).

Leisurely progress was made down the M4 and around the M25 but we managed to get an earlier train. All very exciting getting on the train and very efficient.

Hot France, big skies, rolling fields and endless horizons awaited.

A deserted autoroute, occasionally livened up by someone appearing from nowhere to be found tailgating you, all in the space of seconds.

Finally to Riems, via several stops at several Aire's..

Two tired boys, two tired parents but they are loving it. A hotel, of sorts, tonight but camping from now on!
