This is Chloe swimming at the point where the River Cocker joins the River Derwent. As I explained in a previous blip, it was partly the fault of this join that Cockermouth flooded so badly. The junction creates some quite rough water and strong currents. I took several photos of Chloe happily fighting the waves...but they all showed quite a lot of water and not a great deal of Chloe! I don't know how she judges when it is too rough for her, but she always seems to know.
