Cockermouth

There are two rivers that meet in Cockermouth. The Cocker and the Derwent. Getting on for two years ago they were both in spate after 24 hours heavy rainfall. Cockermouth main street turned into a river! It took the best part of a year to get most of the business and residential properties sorted out! ( and there are still quite a few that haven't been sorted yet! ) The town looks lovely again now. Well worth a visit!
