Quiet BBQ

We took my sister and nephew to Edinburgh Airport this morning - left at 5.45am. I'm not sure I can express how tired we all were - but a very happy exhaustion!

It's so sad leaving loved ones and suddenly our wonderful memories don't feel as if they will be enough...

Susan and I had a long walk and chatted about our family time together and the amazing bond we all have. Sometimes I think I overplay it, but when Susan said my thoughts, I know that I am right about them all.

I will spend the day wondering how their journey is going - and somehow trying to make it easier and quicker for them.
