With Great Gran in Mumbai.

Since my husband and I got married in September 2008, his grandmother had been telling me in the nicest possible way that she'd appreciate it if we could give her a great grandchild soon. She would tell me that she wasn't going to be around for ever and wanted to hold our baby in her arms! It made me smile that she only ever said this to me, not to her grandson my husband! We knew that we had to pay a visit to her as soon as possible after D was born, so this is why we arrived in Mumbai at just about the hottest and most humid time of year just before monsoon. Just before we arrived D's great gran fell and broke her hip ending up in hospital.

Anyway, we made it, D coped with the weather at least as well as we did, the mangos were in season and were delicious, and great gran got her cuddles with her new great grandson. She's doing fine after an operation on her hip - strong lady.
