Local Politics (and Beer)

In the last few weeks, C and I have gone to several fundraising events for candidates in the primary elections for city and county candidates. One of the common denominators of these events has been the beer served -- Boundary Bay Brewery. Boundary Bay supports the same progressive candidates we do. That's another reason why we support BB. The main reason is that their IPA is consistently superb.

Tonight's event was for two candidates for the County Council who are quite different in some respects, but share common values and goals, and are campaigning as a team. Christina Maginnis is a young wife and working mother with a two-year-old son, and Alan Black is a retired commercial airline 747 pilot and Vietnam veteran.
